Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate (SDIC or NaDCC) is a sodium salt derived from chlorinated hydroxy triazine. It’s used as a free source of chlorine in the form of hypochlorous acid commonly used to disinfect water. NaDCC has strong oxidizability and strong bactericidal effect on various pathogenic microorganisms, such as viruses, bacterial spores, fungi, etc. it is a widely used and efficient bactericide.

As a stable source of Chlorine, NaDCC is used in the disinfection of swimming pools and the sterilization of food. It has been used to purify drinking water in cases of emergencies, thanks to its steady supply of chlorine.
